Editorial Policy

Last reviewed: July 18, 2026

This policy explains how we produce reviews and why you can trust them. It mirrors our internal standard — the public promise and the private practice are identical.

Independence

Ratings, rankings, and verdicts are decided by editorial staff alone. No advertiser, affiliate partner, or brand receives pre-publication review, approval, or influence over our scores. Monetisation and ratings are kept in separate systems with no link between them.

How we test

Each category is scored against published, weighted criteria on a 0–100 scale. We label every review by testing tier — “Tested” (hands-on) or “Researched” (rigorous secondary research) — and never imply hands-on testing we did not do. Full details are on our How We Test page.

Corrections & updates

We date every review and keep visible change logs. When a score changes, we say why; we do not silently edit scores. Factual errors are corrected promptly with a dated note.

Any sponsored or paid placement is clearly labelled and is never mixed into editorial ratings or “best” rankings. Accepting a review sample never obligates favourable coverage; sample provenance is disclosed.

AI assistance

We may use AI tools to accelerate research and drafting, but every factual and product claim is verified by a human before publication.
