Privacy Policy
Last reviewed: July 19, 2026
Effective date: July 19, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Dat's Guide ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data controller is Tran Trong Tin (contact: mariofyoza358@gmail.com).
Information we collect
We aim to collect as little as possible. (1) Analytics: with your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate, non-identifying usage data such as pages viewed, approximate region, and device type. (2) Affiliate click log: when you click an outbound product link we record non-personal data — the retailer, a hashed (non-reversible) user-agent, and coarse country; we do NOT store your IP address or any personal identifier. (3) Contact: if you email us, we receive the information you choose to send.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR Art. 6)
We rely on your consent for analytics cookies (which you can give or refuse via our cookie banner and withdraw at any time); on our legitimate interests to keep the site secure, operate it, and understand aggregate usage; and, where you contact us, to respond to your request.
Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for details. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them; a small amount of local storage is used for essential functions such as remembering your theme preference and your cookie choice.
Service providers (processors)
We use trusted providers to run the site: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Cloudflare R2 (media/CDN), and Google Analytics (analytics). Each processes data only as needed to provide their service. Outbound affiliate links take you to third-party retailers whose own privacy policies then apply.
International transfers
Some providers are located outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the providers' safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data retention
We keep aggregate, non-identifying analytics only as long as it is useful, and email correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and for our records.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at mariofyoza358@gmail.com.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; when we do, we will revise the effective date above and highlight material changes on this page.
