What we like
- SCA-certified brew temperature paired with a genuinely simple one-button interface — no menu, no learning curve
- Rainmaker-style showerhead saturates the entire grounds bed at once rather than dripping from a single point
- LCD readout shows real brew-stage progress, useful feedback without turning the machine into a settings menu
- Wide-mouth thermal carafe is comfortable to pour from and considerably easier to clean than narrow-necked alternatives
What we don't
- No programmable timer despite the premium price — every brew starts with you standing in front of the machine pressing the button
- 9-cup capacity is modest for a $150-180 price bracket that includes larger machines
- The built-in pre-infusion pause adds a minute or two to total brew time compared to machines that skip it
- No dual carafe or single-serve flexibility the way a machine like the Breville Precision Brewer offers at a similar price
