What we like
- Three genuinely distinct brew styles (Classic, Rich, Over Ice) that change extraction behavior, not just a strength dial pretending to
- Over Ice setting brews a concentrated batch specifically to compensate for ice dilution — a feature most drip machines simply ignore
- Removable water reservoir makes filling at the sink noticeably easier than a fixed, top-loading tank
- Real brew customization for under $130, undercutting several machines that offer less flexibility at a higher price
What we don't
- No SCA certification and no published brew temperature, so any consistency claim is essentially unverifiable
- Carafe handle and some housing panels feel light and plasticky, and a number of owners report handle wear after a year of daily use
- The Rich setting meaningfully extends total brew time, which catches people off guard who expect a quick pot every time
- One-year warranty is short next to Cuisinart's three years at a similar or lower price
