What we like
- One of the largest carafes in the category at 14 cups, genuinely useful for a full house or a small office kitchen
- 24-hour programmable start, adjustable warming plate temperature, and a self-clean cycle at an $80-100 price point most competitors can't match feature-for-feature
- Dead-simple button-and-dial interface — no manual required, no menu diving
- Backed by a 3-year warranty, longer than every other machine in this lineup, and parts/accessories are everywhere given how many of these are already in circulation
What we don't
- Doesn't approach SCA-certified brewing temperature, and the cup reads noticeably milder and flatter next to the Bonavita or OXO in this batch
- Glass carafe sits directly on a warming plate that will slowly scorch coffee if left on more than 30-45 minutes
- Housing is mostly plastic and feels considerably less substantial than the stainless bodies on the Zojirushi or OXO
- No thermal carafe option in this line, so a fresh-tasting cup depends entirely on how quickly you pour it
