What we like
- Gets you a full-tang, full-bolster German-style knife with a real pakkawood handle for roughly half what Wüsthof or Zwilling charge
- Comes with a sheath included, unlike most legacy-brand knives at this price
- Sharp factory edge out of the box by most owner accounts
- Aggressive black-oxide finish and packaging feel more premium than the price suggests
What we don't
- Steel quality and heat treatment consistency don't quite match Wüsthof or Zwilling despite similar specs on paper
- Marketing tone leans heavily into dramatic branding and packaging, which can oversell what's still a mid-tier knife
- Edge retention trails the established German brands, needing more frequent honing
- Long-term durability track record is shorter than century-old brands simply because the company itself is newer
